You can tell that it is a holiday weekend here is sunny Southern California.
For the past week the weather has been in the 60's and even sometimes looks like it wants to rain. But come Saturday morning of the holiday weekend the sun comes out bright and early and beats down all day.
While out and about with my family running errands my husbands says to me "You can tell it's a holiday weekend because everyone is out riding bikes, dressed like it's summer and buying all the BBQ food they can for their BBQ's on Monday". Including my husband who stocked up on his own BBQ feast.
I enjoy all the summer festivities but could do without the HEAT. Especially being this far along in my pregnancy.
I want to wish everyone a good memorial weekend (whats left of it) and to stay safe.

When is it the right time!!!
So as I enter in to the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy, I try and reflect back on the day I found out I was even pregnant in the first place. Now to say this was unplanned is not 100% true as my husband and I both talked about when would be a "good time" to have another child. I think when you ask someone that question the answer is always when is it ever a good time. I am sure you can think of alot of things you would want to do first before getting pregnant(save money, buy a house, start a business, etc). But the bottom line is something is always going to come up and then it will never be a good time. So we just left it up to fate. If it happened it happened if it did not it did not.
For any of you that do not know me personally then a little back history is that I am not one of those ladies that if you look at me funny I get pregnant. I have been known to need a little medical assistance. This is because I simply do not ovulate or get my period (lucky right). So when we found out that I was pregnant with no help but the help and assistance my husband gave (wink wink) we were very surprised and needed 7 pregnancy pee sticks, a doctor, blood test and a ultrasound to confirm our joy!
Now towards the last leg of this pregnancy I look back and think maybe it was not the best time then or maybe even now but somehow and someway we are going to make it through (eat out less to save money, wait a little longer to buy a house and continue to work hard to make our business a success). We will make the sacrifices we have to to be the best parents we can to the children we have and the child we are going to have. I almost sometimes think it really is a great way to kick yourself into high gear to actually do those things you have been putting off for the good of offering more to your offspring. At least for me that is true.
So thank you little peanut in my belly, Emma(daughter) and Jesse (son) for helping me kick start alot of the goals I had put off.

30 Week Mark!
We are officially at the 75% mark of this pregnancy. We have made it into the 30-39 weeks.
Still third trimester but defiantly closer to the end. It felt like 20-29 weeks took forever! Maybe it was because during that time there was alot of testing (glucose, ultrasound, nst, etc).
I look forward to these last couple weeks of being pregnant as I know our little peanut is literally just finishing baking in my tummy. As all his necessary body parts are formed. So he is just getting some fat on those bones. I read he would be able to live outside the womb without assistance within four weeks. I know this to be true since my daughter Emma decided to make her grand entrance at 34 weeks and she survived with no help.
What I don't look forward to is the fact that the baby has gotten so much stronger when he decides to play kick ball or punching bag with my organs. Sometimes I think he has a love hate relationship with my bladder. During the day he likes to kick and punch it and then during the evening he will use it as a pillow. Somes when I go to the rest room it feels like I have not peed in day.
I also read that your baby finds and has his/her cozy spot they love to rest in and stay there most of the time during pregnancy. This spot for my little peanut is on my right side, head down. This is always were the doctor can find the heart beat and also were I feel alot of his movement.
Well here are some fun facts about 30 weeks
At 30 Weeks:
*Baby is about 15.7 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds
*Baby’s eyesight is developing, but isn’t very good. Even at birth, his/hereyesight will only be 20/400!
Baby has short-term memory now! (I hope he does not remember some of my choice words for bad drivers)
Welcome to my world!

Our new Little Peanuts Nursery.
So if you have been following my other blog then you saw my battle with our newest little peanuts nursery.
Now I have to say that picking out a color for his room was very hard. I knew I wanted blue, but when we got to the paint store and saw that there are about a million different blues(ok that was a exaggeration). We narrowed it down to three different ones and then got home and narrowed it down to two and then of course down to one (surfer blue) which I was very happy with. My husband and even my daughter Emma painted the room while I went out shopping.
Now I have known that I wanted to do a owl room for the baby even before we knew we were having a boy. So I enlisted my husband to paint a wall mural of a big tree with a owl on it. So my loving husband set off free hand to draw this mural on the wall. Then the whole family decided to pitch in and paint the mural. Here is the beautiful mural that my family painted for the new arrival.
Now the furniture and everything else was a no brainer. I had picked that out early. You can kinda see the crib in the picture above.
We are getting a custom made crib set made by one of our vendors who makes amazing crib bedding. You can check out her stuff on our website at littlepeanutboutique.com under nursery.
Now is time for all the small decor items. My daughter Emma has drawn a bunch of pictures that she places in the room that she says she wants on his wall. But I am not sure if that is what I will do with it. I may pick on and put it in a frame in his room.
Little does my husband know that he is not done with his handy skills. I want him to make a owl mobile that will go above the crib. I love my handy man/husband.
I really love how everyone has really joined together to make sure that the babies room is ready (or almost ready). It has become a family project.
Welcome to my world!

Thinking Thursday
I was thinking how I would love to win the lottery. And for the most unselfish reason. Not to buy a huge house, go one a trip, go shopping, etc.... but to start all over the business ventures I think up daily.
I think I have always been destined to be my own boss and have my own business. But I can think of 7 businesses I would start today had I won the lottery last night. The sad part is I don't even play but maybe I will start. As you never know if you are lucky that day. I don't even need to win the major jackpot, but maybe a couple million would not hurt.
Now don't get me wrong and I would be lying if I said I would not use some of the money to buy a house(in Oregon), shop a little and would take my whole family on a vacation but not before I started all of my business ventures.
On a side note my daughter Emma is in a play tonight called the Piggy Opera. My husband is very excited because he just purchased a new mini video camera and can't wait to tape something. Especially because he wants to be a pro before the baby is born. I remember him when Emma was born with a big video camera around his neck and the camera in hand. When the time came he forgot about both and was consumed with tears. Don't worry we did get some shots. I took this one.
Now I am almost to the 30 weeks of my pregnancy (29 weeks and 3 days today) and now comes all the things that made me dislike being pregnant. Like charlie horses, heartburn, lack of sleep, itchy nipples, peeing every 20 minutes (need to buy stock in toilet paper), tired and your feet hurt. The list could go on and on. But I think we are in the home stretch. My babies have all come early so we will see how much longer this little peanut wants to stay in that cramped area.
Now people tell me everyday that I hide my pregnancy very well and that I do not have the big basketball tummy. Sometimes i wonder if that is a compliment or a insult. I they nicely saying you are fat and hide it well or are you even pregnant. I have carried both my other children in my tummy pouch (kangaroo pouch), I have never had the big round belly. Maybe that is because I have always been a thicker girl. Never been a skinny mini. But he is in there. All 2 1/2 pounds of him at the moment.

Monday Mornings!
Oh how I hate Monday mornings. I hate having to get back into the swing of things like make lunch, get kids ready for school, get myself ready for the day and most of all see my husband drive off to work because that means I have one less set of hands during the day.
On the plus side I am 29 weeks pregnant today which means I only have 10 more weeks (we are delivery c-section a week earlier then our due date). So per all the websites he should be about 2 1/2 pounds. But he feels more like ten on my back. Is it just me or when you enter the third trimester of your pregnancy you are so ready for it to be OVER!
I noticed I am tired again, very irritable(more then normal), and just all and all feel yucky! Not to mention that I get the urge to pee every 30 minutes like I have been holding it all night. Not to mention that my little peanut either loves to kick my bladder or use it as a pillow which is very uncomfortable.
Last week I went in for my normal monthly visit to the OBGYN and he said my blood pressure was high so signed me up for a non-stress test. No for those of you who do not know what that is...painless procedure that is done during pregnancy to evaluate your baby's condition. During the test a technician monitors your baby's heartbeat, first while the baby is resting and then while he's moving. Just as your heart beats faster when you're active, your baby's heart rate should go up while he's moving or kicking.
Now I am used to this because I had to go with my daughter and she was always a little stinker when I was there and would move from the monitor which made a normal 20 minute test turn into a hour test. And just like my daughter the new little peanut was the same way. But they finally go a good monitor and cleared me of having to go back. But I have to admit. I was a little nervous when it took them awhile to find the heartbeat. The pulled out the ultrasound machine and found where is was a hooked me up. I swear when I saw him on the ultrasound machine he was smiling like HA-HA mommy just wanted to scare you!
Like if that doesn't already show his personality. A joker like his daddy and sister.
Just my luck.

Happy Mothers Day!
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mothers Day! Hope you have a great day.
P.S
As we celebrate Mother's Day, let's remember some of the mothers who are working today. These moms are waiting on us at our Mother's Day brunches, taking care of elderly family members, providing emergency health services, taking our reservations, and ringing up our purchases. So be extra nice to them today!
